Named after two
amazing dogs.
So many people ask where the name Malibu & Billy came from. This is the story behind the brand that means so much to me, and the two dogs it belongs to.
The cheeky one.
Malibu is my cheeky, playful little puppy who keeps me on my toes every single day. She is full of personality, mischief and endless love, and she is the inspiration behind the fun, adventurous spirit of Malibu & Billy. Every bright colour we make has a little bit of her in it.
That’s her in the photos, by the way. Every harness shot on this site is Malibu, working her angles under the studio lights like she was born for it.
Billy holds a very special place in my heart. Six months ago I had to say goodbye to my beautiful boy. Losing him was one of the hardest things I have ever been through, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him.
But in many ways, I feel like he is still here. Every design, every product and every milestone carries a piece of him.

Creating Malibu & Billy has been an emotional journey. There have been moments of excitement and moments of doubt, tears, and moments where I wished Billy was still walking beside me through it all. This brand is how I keep walking with him.
Off the beach. Onto the streets.
This year we took Malibu & Billy somewhere new. We swapped the sand for wet asphalt, put our colours under the streetlights, and photographed the whole range the way we actually live with it: on early walks through quiet streets, in gym sessions and coffee runs, with a small dog leading the way like she owns the suburb.
The heart of it hasn’t moved an inch. Every harness still carries a name, every colour still comes in a size for you and a size for them, and every order still gets packed with the same two dogs in mind. The streets just suit us.
